My criticism was not meant to ask PM to step down – Dr Mahathir

KUALA LUMPUR: Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said he had no intention to ask Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to resign but his criticism were merely meant to be a ‘wake up call’.

“I did not say he (Najib) must step down, I just do not agree with a number of his policies. It is a reminder and nothing personal. Nobody dares to criticise him, so I am doing it,” he told reporters after launching the Institute of Excellence For Islamic Jerusalem Studies, here today.

The former Prime Minister in his blog posting today said he had criticised Najib’s administration because leaders who are not criticised would tend to believe they are doing the right thing.

He added that only when they are criticised, leaders would realise their mistakes and quickly rectify such mistakes.

Dr Mahathir said he had decided to post his criticism and comments on the blog because his criticism in the past had fallen on deaf ears.

Meanwhile, he said the setting up of the IEIJS would enlighten the understanding and academic facts of what was happening in Palestine, to the Muslim world.

“There are not many factual studies about Jerusalem by Muslim scholars. With the establishment of this institute, I hope there would be a better understanding of whatever happened there,” he said. –BERNAMA

P/S: Moral of the story, ni kisah Tun M sayangkan DS Najib sebagai anak. Lain lah kalau Tun M tak boleh terima macam kes Pak Lah dulu, cold statment dia keluarkan Pak Lah harus letak jawatan, tapi pada DS Najib tidak, dia kata dengan kasih sayang sebab tak nak pengaruh jahat anwar susup masuk tanpa terkawal ke sekeliling DS Najib. Ingat baik2, Anwar adalah "Syaitan" yang di kenali yang kerja dia menghasut manusia membuat kemungkaran.

Yang nak jadi hero meraban merata2 nak mengampu tu baik lah buat kerja yang mampu membantu DS Najib dalam tangani serangan fitnah kiri kanan puak pembangkang. DS Najib tak pandang pun u all hero wannabe ni pun. Sebab kalau u all nak tahu, Tun M maksudkan kau orang semua lah, pendek kata. Kerja tak ada, sembang lebat, hasil tak ada tapi kaki nak sebat kuat. Kesian DS Najib ada orang macam simpulan2 hero wannabe ni koh koh koh.
